Hi, I'm Linda Inglett.  In Dec.2006, I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, told there was no hope and that I was going to die!

The aneurysm was in the center of my brain and major surgery could cause severe brain damage. A procedure called Embolization gave me hope for survival.

AWARENESS EDUCATIONSUPPORT

I survived a brain aneurysm because of early detection! However, there is a protocol in place that determines who qualifies for the early detection screening test. The protocol dictates that only people with certain symptoms of a brain aneurysm will qualify for early detection screening tests. Unfortunately, a brain aneurysm can exist in the brain without exhibiting any outward symptoms and go undetected until it ruptures. When this occurs, there is little hope for survival.

As a survivor, I owe my life to early detection screening tests. I propose that early detection screening for brain aneurysms be as accessible to the patient as the mammogram, x-ray, ultrasound, etc.  I am writing letters, doing interviews and appealing to the Government to pass a law that requires private insurance to pay for early detection screening tests for aneurysms.I call this test the "Brain-O-Gram."
